MATT Williams believes promotion-chasing Chinnor will relish the tag of underdogs when they face leaders Bishop’s Stortford tomorrow.

National League 2 South’s top-two face off at Kingsey Road with plenty to play for.

After last week’s disappointing loss to Clifton, Chinnor are now ten points off the pace, with four matches remaining.

Victory this weekend would not only close the gap, but keep them in pole position to secure second.

Chinnor have often been the team to beat this year, but the boot is on the other foot this weekend.

Director of rugby Williams said: “We’re firmly underdogs and it’s great because it takes all the pressure off us and allows us to go and play rugby.

“Mix that with the fact the boys need to show a response to last week, there will be nothing other than 100 per cent commitment.

“The guys realise that we’ve worked too hard to let one week define our season.

“The players will be going full heart, blood and guts this week.”

Greg Goodfellow, Richard Thorpe, Danny Barnes and Bevon Armitage return to the squad.

In the front row, Tom Price and Mark Darlington start, with Joe Hutchinson moving to tight-head.

Alex Bradley, Ali Bone and Charlie Broughton are all injured.

Henley Hawks face fourth-placed Taunton Titans at Dry Leas.

Oskar Hirskyj-Douglas has been recalled by England Sevens, so Alan Awcock moves to centre and Sam Portland shuffles to full back, while winger Xavier Andre starts.

Jim Hadfield and Rob Bell come into the XV.

In South West 1 East, Witney host Windsor, but are without the unavailable trio of Matt Clarke, Lloyd Allen and Sam Arnold.

Oxford Harlequins travel to Newbury Blues still looking over their shoulder at the relegation zone.

Three points separate themselves and third-from-bottom Chippenham.

Ramez Farahani, Ollie Barlow and Michael Ojo come into the pack, with Adam Neal switching to blindside.

Banbury host Swindon, while Grove face Reading Abbey.
