Bicester expect to field three teams this week after having to pull their seconds from two consecutive fixtures.
The club say a combination of unavailability and illness meant Bicester 2nd gave walkovers to Marlow 2nd and Windsor 2nd in the BB&O Premier A Division – despite a third team playing both weeks.
Bicester committee member Will Morris said: “Two weeks ago we were missing our Army contingent due to a medals ceremony in town and last week we had a bout of flu.
“Our seconds play two leagues above our thirds, in one of the county’s toughest leagues, so it’s not a case of just moving up players. We need to look at safety.”
CHINNOR have appointed former player John Vaughan as their new director of rugby.
Vaughan, who assisted Jason Bowers with the first-team squad last season, will have a particular emphasis on youth development.
