Round-up
WHEATLEY recorded their third successive BB&O Championship win with a 17-5 derby success against Didcot.
Forward pressure led to James Pollard, Jason Wilson and Joe Hyde crossing over for Wheatley, with Jason Laman converting one, but it was their backs who proved decisive.
Scrum half Paul Costello grabbed Didcot’s try.
Leaders Harwell edged out Farnham Royal to retain their 100 per cent record.
The key moment in a defence-dominated game came midway through the first half.
A scissors move saw Jamie Cantwell break through and some quick recycling enabled lock Rob Underhill go over, with Andy Lee (pictured) converting.
Abingdon lost a tight clash 28-19 to Chesham, but had enough chances to win it.
Their tries came from centres Tim Darby and Niall Taylor, plus scrum half Jim Crossland, with fly half Mark Roberts converting two.
