CHINNOR held on to claim a famous 35-34 victory over Redruth at Kingsey Road, despite finishing with 13 men.
The hosts had fly half Will Millett sent off for a second yellow card, then centre Sam Stoop was sin-binned at the death.
A dramatic finale saw Redruth fight back from 35-17 down, but fly half Aaron Penberthy’s conversion drifted wide from the final play.
Full back Henry Colver’s penalty put Chinnor ahead, but Redruth’s powerful pack earned a penalty try, Penberthy converting.
A quick lineout led to wing Adrian Hales going over for Chinnor, then Stoop set up No 8 Liam Gilbert for try No 2.
Colver added a penalty and converted Millett’s try after the latter sold two dummies.
Penberthy slotted a penalty before half-time.
A strong tackle from Chinnor scrum half Frank Jones forced a turnover and they played in centre Matt Goode for their bonus-point try.
Colver converted, but Redruth hit back via a rolling maul, prop Dan Job scoring and Penberthy converting.
Chinnor’s final try came from Gilbert after they moved the ball wide on 56 minutes.
Flanker Owen Hambly got a kind bounce for Redruth’s third, Penberthy converting.
Millett and Chinnor man-of-the-match, flanker Alex Waddingham, were sin-binned before Redruth prop Craig Williams went over.
After Millett’s red card and Stoop’s yellow, Redruth scored again through full back Murray Westren.
Henley Hawks capitalised on Redruth’s defeat with a 56-33 victory at Bournemouth.
Fly half Will Robinson opened Henley’s account with a penalty, then converted a try from No 8 Robbie Stapley.
Henley prop Hugo Milford-Scott and Bournemouth lock Callum Forrest were sin-binned for punching.
Full back Dan Pollard kicked a penalty for Bournemouth, but wing Richard Briggs finished off try No 2, Robinson converting for 17-3.
Bournemouth flanker James Bovett ran in from 75 metres, with Pollard converting.
Briggs bagged his second try for Henley, while flanker Will Woodward also went over and Robinson converted both.
Bournemouth’s Jaryd Rob-inson raced in, Pollard adding a conversion and a penalty.
Stapley powered over at the start of the second half, but two Pollard penalties and a try from centre Scott Chislett reduced the arrears to 36-33.
Robinson slotted two penalties before home flanker Riad Lynch was sin-binned.
Replacement scrum half Luke Carter and Woodward added further tries, both converted by Robinson.
