HENLEY Hawks slipped back into the relegation zone after collapsing to a 42-22 defeat at Fylde.

Hawks fought back to level the scores at 22-22, but the conceded 20 unanswered points in a nightmare final 15 minutes.

Henley are two points adrift of safety, with victories over Loughborough Students and Tynedale in their final two matches no longer enough to guarantee survival.

Tries from scrum half Ryan De La Harpe and wing Warren Spragg, plus fly half Chris Johnson’s conversion, put Fylde ahead.

Flanker Matt Payne’s try got Henley on the board, with Johnson slotting a penalty.

Wing Christoph Bart’s try, plus fly half James Comben’s conversion and penalty, levelled matters.

Johnson converted lock Joseph Robinson’s try for Fylde, who had centre Chris Briers sin-binned.

Henley lock Dave Clements was driven over and Comben’s conversion made it 22-22.

Hawks had replacement Ed Yarnton yellow-carded before Fylde romped home with replacement Mark Rylance, centre Steve Briers and prop Adam Lewis scoring tries, Johnson converting one and adding a penalty.
