BANBURY’S youngsters have won the opportunity of a lifetime to walk out at Twickenham next year.

The north Oxfordshire team’s under 11 side will be a part of the the Aviva Premiership final at the home of English rugby on May 27.

They will meet one of England’s 2003 World Cup winners and take part in a parade at half-time.

Banbury won their place after taking part in the Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup at Franklins Gardens last month.

Organised by Northampton Saints, they took on fellow under 11 sides, progressing from their pool to book their place at Twickenham.

Banbury’s Joseph Armstrong said: “It was a great moment when we found out.

“When someone hold me we were going to Twickenham, I thought they were joking. It’s a dream.”
