CHINNOR produced a dominant second-half display to beat league leaders Cinderford 31-20 away from home.

Two James Moffat penalties put the hosts 6-0 ahead in the National League 2 South encounter.

But Chinnor responded and opened up a 14-6 lead.

Great work from centre Orisi Nawaqaliva and scrum half Greg Goodfellow set up flanker Ben Manning to touch down, before prop Nick Bingham forced his way over.

Jonny Bentley converted both tries.

Cinderford replied, when Lewis Beer crossed and Moffat added the extras to reduce the visitors’ lead to a point.

But Chinnor went onto open up a 24-13 advantage at the break, thanks to a George Oliver try, converted by Bentley, who also kicked a penalty.

The bonus point was secured, when Nawaqaliva charged over and Bentley continued his fine day from the tee.

Chinnor enjoyed most of the territory, but Cinderford hit back as Harry Hone dived over and Moffat converted.

The visitors defended excellently to prevent another score and secure victory to go second.

Henley Hawks were involved in a 25-25 draw away to Old Redcliffians.
