BLEWBURY just missed out on promotion from Men’s Division 3 of the Thames Valley Winter League, despite beating champions Oxford Sports C 5-3.
Victory put them level on 53 points with Cholsey, who were runners-up due to a better head-to-head record.
Portcullis B saw off Blewbury C 8-0 to seal the Division 4 title, while Woodstock C are Division 6 champions after an 8-0 win over David Lloyd E.
Oxford Sports’ 5-3 win over Virgin Active puts them in strong position to finish top of Ladies’ Division 1.
Brackley are joint top after an 8-0 defeat of Banbury, but have played one game more.
Thame’s 8-0 whitewash against Woodstock C makes them champions of Division 4, as second-placed Witney B lost 5-3 to Blewbury B.
