North Oxford Ladies' rise to the top of Thames Valley Winter League Division 1 was short-lived as Oxford City gained an impressive 7-1 away win over their rivals to leapfrog them at the summit.
With two matches left, City now lead by three points.
City’s side of Alex Simmons and Esther Symmonds, Beth Simmons and Delia Chadwick dropped only one tie-break in the eight sets.
Oxford Sports kept up the pressure on leaders North Oxford in the race for the Men’s Premier Division with a commanding 8-0 home success over Portcullis.
Both sides have to face relegation battlers Thame in the last two games.
