OXFORDSHIRE hope to move off the bottom of Group 2A in the final round of the 12 Counties Championship at Corby this weekend.

This time it is the turn of the under 14s in Northamptonshire.

Oxon have selected Ollie Broadhurst, Hannah Craig, Jasmine Conway, George Doxiadis, Chloe Elliott, Connor Ferguson, Jana Cooper Marcos and George Slater.

They will face Buckinghamshire, Hereford & Worcestershire and Cheshire.

Moving off the bottom of the table and coming at least third would seal Oxon’s highest finish in the event.

BICESTER’S Patrisia Radan won the under 10 Grade 5 Orange and Green Event at St Hugh’s School in Faringdon, beating Alisha Tejrar, from Gloucester, 4-3 in the final.

Longworth’s Katie Baker took the consolation prize with a 4-1 win over Wallingford’s Esma Breach.

In the under nine round robin event, Oxford’s Iris Saville came second in the girls’ tournament, while Appleton’s John Cairns won the boys.

ABINGDON boosted their hopes of promotion to Ladies Division 1 of the Babolat Thames Valley Winter League with a 5-3 win over leaders Faringdon.
