I am a qualified, experienced, professional counsellor with experience in working with both adults and young people struggling with a wide range of issues. My practice is in Thame, Oxfordshire and I also work for GP surgeries.
As a counsellor I offer a safe and supportive relationship in a confidential setting. I listen empathically, without judgment. I respectfully enable my clients to express their difficult feelings and emotions, and begin understanding them from another perspective.
I am trained in Person Centred counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, by combining these approaches I am able to meet the individual needs of each unique client and enhance positive outcomes.
I have experience in working with anxiety, self esteem, addictions, abuse, relationships, loss, stress, post trauma, long term illness, panic, depression, eating disorders, work related issues (including EAP).
I am also a lecturer in counselling at a further education college. I believe that my teaching work continually informs and develops my counselling skills and practice.
I am a member of The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I am committed to working within their ethical guidelines and principles. I am also a member of Counselling in Primary Care (CPC)
