NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND

STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

The Oxfordshire County Council, Bucknell Bridleway No 1 (part), Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2017

On 7th August 2019, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order, made on 12th April 2017, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting 200m of Bucknell Br 1 that runs from OS Grid Ref SP 5602 2565 adjacent to allotment gardens, Bainton Road, Bucknell, east-north-eastwards through the gardens of Nos 10, 9 and 7 Bainton Road, then north-north-eastwards through Yew Tree House to SP 5609 2583 to a line running for 230m from SP 5602 2565 north-north-westwards along the grass track between the allotment gardens and No 10 Bainton Rd to SP 5601 2567,then north-north-eastwards, east-south-eastwards and east-south-eastwards around the perimeter of Yew Tree House to SP 5609 2583 where it re-joins the existing bridleway as shown on the Order map.

The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 15th August 2019 make an application to the High Court.
