OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT I980,WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
The Oxfordshire County Council Stanton Harcourt Bridleway No 12 (part) Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2017

On 10th July 2017, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order, made on 10th January 2017, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting 779m of Stanton Harcourt BR 12 near Stanton Harcourt village that runs from OS Grid Ref SP 4010 0530 south-eastwards across the Controlled Reclamation Landfill Site and haul road at Dix Pit to SP 4053 0477 and then west-south-westwards back across the haul road to SP 4045 0473 to a line running following the edge of the Controlled Reclamation Landfill Site for 835m from SP 4010 0530 south-westwards along its north-western boundary to SP 4000 0521 then south-eastwards avoiding the haul road (and north-east of the River Windrush) to SP 4045 0473 where it re-joins the existing bridleway as shown on the Order map. Copies of the Order and Order map may be purchased from Oxfordshire County Council, Definitive Map and Commons, Speedwell House, Speedwell Street, Oxford OX1 1NE,at the price of £3:50 per copy. The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground thatanyrequirementofeitherActor ofany regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 14th September 2017 make an application to the High Court.
