ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Westcot, Wantage, Unnamed Road
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 26 March 2018
Coming into force: 3 April 2018
This Order is being introduced because of new water mains
connection works which are anticipated to take 10 days to
complete.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle
proceeding in that part of the unnamed road northwards from
the B4507 adjacent to Days House. Appropriate traffic signs
will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the
works and for access to premises which are only accessible
from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic is via the B4507.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of
18 months or until the works have been completed whichever
is the sooner. (Ref JaC/T5360)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Steventon, Castle Street and Mill Street
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 26 March 2018
Coming into force: 29 March 2018
This Order is being introduced because of water main
replacement works which are to be carried out in two phases:
1) Castle Street from 29 March to 15 June 2018.
2) Mill Street form 18 June to 19 July 2018.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle
proceeding in these roads. Appropriate traffic signs will be
displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the
works and for access to premises which are only accessible
from the closed section of road.
The alternative routes for traffic – for Castle Street is via Mill
Street, The Causeway, Stocks Lane and vice versa; for Mill
Street is via The Causeway, Stocks Lane, Castle Street and
vice versa.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of
18 months or until the works have been completed whichever
is the sooner. (Ref JaC/T5425)

Abingdon, Bath Road
Prohibition of Through Traffic & Waiting
Date of Order: 12 March 2018
Coming into force: 19 March 2018
This Order is being introduced because of gas mains
replacement works which are anticipated to take until the
22 April 2018 to complete. The effect of the Order is to
temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Bath Road
(between Stratton Way & Farringdon Road).
The time limited waiting will also be suspended and no
parking will be allowed. The relevant part of the Oxfordshire
County Council (Abingdon) (One-Way Traffic and Prohibition
and Restriction of Waiting) Order 1980 (as amended) will be
suspended for the duration of the works.
Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when
the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for
emergency services and for the works and for access to
premises which are only accessible from the closed section
of road.
The alternative route for traffic is via Ock Street – Spring
Road – Faringdon Road – Wootton Road & vice-versa.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of
18 months or until the works have been completed whichever
