HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 118 NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER SOUTH OXFORDSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (CLAIMED ROUTE R - GREAT WESTERN PARK, DIDCOT)

EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2016 On the 13 day of May 2019 the South Oxfordshire District Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order, as confirmed, will extinguish the full width of the public footpath commencing at Grid Reference SU 5061 9074 (Point A on the Plan) and running in a generally south-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 176 metres to Grid Reference SU 5073 9060 (Point B on the Plan) as shown on the Order Map. A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at South Oxfordshire District Council, 135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park, Milton, OX14 4SB from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Mondayto Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £10.

The Order comes into force upon certification by Oxfordshire County Council, but if any person aggrieved by the order wishes to question its vali dity, or that of any provi si on contai ned i n it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been properly complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks of the date of this notice, make an application to the High Court.
