Anyone who loves a good who-dunnit will relish the Kingham Plough’s schedule of events in 2018.

Kicking off on Wednesday, bestselling author, and former Chipping Norton resident, Clare Mackintosh is returning for a meet the author event while enjoying a two-course lunch with a glass of wine. Peruse Clare’s thrilling new book, Let Me Lie (out this week) and she will answer any questions and sign her books.

Clare’s first novel, I Let You Go, was the bestselling crime thrilling debut of 2015 – in the Sunday Times top 10 for 12 weeks and sold over one million copies worldwide. Her second novel, I See You, was also a number one bestseller. Tickets to the event cost £30 per person for a signed hardback, lunch and a glass of wine.

Following the success of our Guest Chef Dinners in 2017, we hand over our kitchen to three phenomenal chefs this year. Up first, Kota’s Jude Kereama will serve a delicious three-course dinner on Wednesday June 6. Passionate about local produce, Jude’s menu is sure to feature his signature Asian twist. Finally, Jesse Dunford Wood, chef proprietor at the award winning Parlour, joins us on Thursday September 18. Jessie is well known for his numerous TV appearances and boasts an impressive background which includes working in two starred Gidleigh Park and Le Gavroche (£45 for three courses with canapes, coffee and petit fours).

We are also taking part in Tom Kerridge’s Pub in the Park, held in Bath in June. Tom has hand-picked his favourite pubs to join him throughout the weekend and our pop-up pub will offer three delicious dishes that are truly representative of the pub’s passion for seasonality and provenance.

Back at the pub, Emily’s new head chef, Darren Brown, offers customers the opportunity to sample the delicious, seasonal produce that the Cotswolds has to offer in his series of set three-course dining events scheduled throughout the year. Darren brings with him a wealth of experience having an extremely prestigious background working with Tom Kerridge at West Stoke House, where he earned a Michelin star. Starting with his Spring Vegetable Feast on May 17, Darren’s menu will include asparagus, Jersey royals, wild garlic as well as local producer Alan Cox’s exceptional strawberries (£40 per person).
