Things are hotting up at Wilderness, where festival organisers have unveiled more names from the world of dance music to grace its line-up.
Having already announced Robyn, Groove Armada, Bombay Bicycle Club, Caravan Palace, Tom Odell, Tom Grennan and Freya Riddings for its main stage, the west Oxfordshire festival ‘ups the ante' with a cache of new names for its already bristling electronic bill.
Hot Creations mainstay Richy Ahmed and Firehouse Records founder and Brooklyn selector Kim Ann Foxman are among the latest additions for the bill at the Cornbury Estate this summer.
Also spinning tunes beneath the ancient oaks, from August 1-4, are Bristol dance duo Cousn and Tokyo-born classical musician turned DJ Manami. They join previously announced DJs Honey Dijon, Erol Alkan and Jodie Harsh.
As well as the popular Hidden Valley venue, the festival launches a new dance zone called The High Ground. The new-look space will be dedicated to cutting edge electronic music and will be nestled among the trees, up the bank from the Valley – high ground by name and location.
Musically The High Ground vibe will be uplifting, with DJs playing disco and house sets backdropped with flamboyant performers. The harder-edged sets find their home in The Valley beneath the lasers. The open-air 2,000 capacity venue will transport discerning dance-lovers with a high-end d&b audiotechnik sound system and will be a magnet for party people as the sun sets.

Crowd-funded Tottenham club The Cause curates Friday and Saturday nights. The club – nominated for DJ Mag’s best small club in the country – is teaming up with London promoters Adonis and Tribes to bring a host of DJs across two nights of wall-to-wall beats and bass.
Saturday’s Tribes takeover will see sets from London DJ Voigtmann, Irish DJ and producer Cromby, Dom Chung with one more artist to be announced. Expect Tribes’ trademark warehouse party-themed rave vibe, spawned in a back alley Hackney basement. They have already played car parks, derelict buildings, garages, warehouses, boats, railway arches and farms so should be right at home on the edge of Charlbury. Go to ticketmaster.co.uk/wilderness
