BUG PRENTICE
The Bullingdon, Oxford
Tonight
Tickets £4.50 from wegottickets.com
Yet another Oxford band demanding closer inspection, Bug Prentice are unlike anything you’ve seen. Not least because of singer-songwriter Ally Craig, who was born with Muscular Dystrophy and plays the guitar flat across his lap. His music has an experimental quality which comes from a love of Ivor Cutler, Robert Wyatt, Shellac and Thelonious Monk. Tonight his trio launch a new double A-side single, Nicholas Ray/Spoons. Support from David Tudor and Cogwheel.
