THE 39 STEPS
June 24-29
Box office: 01865 305305
Here is a version of The 39 Steps that would amaze its creator John Buchan, who lies buried in the graveyard at Elsfield Church. Direct from the West End, Broadway, and 25 countries around the globe, comes a joyous version based on Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film, brilliantly and hilariously recreated as a smash-hit comedy. Winner of the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, the show follows the adventures of handsome hero Richard Hannay, complete with stiff-upper-lip, British gung-ho and pencil moustache, as he encounters dastardly murders, double-crossing secret agents and beautiful women. Four fearless actors play 139 roles in 100 minutes of fast-paced fun and thrilling action.
