Described as a spectacular, traditional Japanese Bunraku puppet-style fantasy, the magical, fun-filled play uses puppets to tell the story of a wicked sorceress whose beautiful daughter falls in love with a prince. A fast-moving and funny show, it’s just under an hour long and suitable for children aged 3-7 years.

Visit dancinoxford.co.uk Dancin’ Oxford’s spectacular event features an exciting large-s cale new dance work featuring over 150 dancers from Japan and Oxford under the artistic direction of Oxford’s Cecilia Macfarlane. TRA^VERSE includes dance, music, artwork, 10 professional dancers (5 from each country), plus Wings a group of Japanese and Oxford community dancers. The dancers will take their audience through the castle grounds, and hope to encourage them to take up dancing themselves.
