A TIDDLYWINK competition travelled more than mile across Didcot as the Thong Rangers rallied to raise cash.
The Rangers – a group of men in Didcot who dress in thongs to run bizarre fundraising activities – raised more than £500 for Spencer Howse-Macbeth.
Nine-year-old Spencer has cerebral palsy and his family needs to raise £8,000 to kit out their home so he can live as normally as possible.
The Thong Rangers managed to play the traditional game of tiddlywinks over 1.5 miles through Didcot, collecting cash from passers-by.
Organiser Clifford Oakes, 50, said: “Our aim was to raise as much money as we could for him. It took just over four hours to do, which I thought was really good going.”
The challenge started in Wantage Road and the Thong Rangers made it all the way to the Cow Lane bridge.
