MILLIONS of pounds of Government funding resulting from a new 2,030-home development in Didcot must be spent in the town, according to a leading councillor.
If the Croudace Homes development north east of the town is approved, South Oxfordshire District Council will get £3.5m under a Government scheme to encourage councils to build more homes.
Didcot Town Council leader Margaret Davies said the cash should be spent in the town.
Consultation events take place at the Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot from 2pm to 8pm on Friday and from 10am to 1pm on Saturday.
