IT MAY have an olde worlde charm, but the Swinford toll bridge is an anachronism in the 21st century.
Siemens may be trying to come up with a high-tech way of solving the queues caused by the old-fashioned toll collection, but the real issue is its exasperation as a local employer.
Surely a proper 21st century solution would be Oxfordshire County Council buying the bridge and improving it as a proper transport link?
