THE boat which has been submerged at Osney Lock for almost four months was today lifted from the water.
The craft broke free from its moorings during the November floods and has been wedged against a barrier at the lock ever since.
As our photo shows, today a crane on a barge lifted the boat from the Thames. It is now resting on the towpath at the lock.
A picture of the crane operation and fuller story will appear in tomorrow's Oxford Mail.
