People convicted of offences recently at Banbury Magistrates' Court:
- Ben Horsman, 20, of Queen’s Road, Banbury, admitted assault by beating in Leys House, Park Close, Banbury, on February 6. Community order made with a domestic violence programme for 27 days and 24-month supervision requirement. Told to pay £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- James Sprigg, 28, of Lancaster Place, Carterton, convicted of driving without due care and attention and driving without insurance in Fulbrook, near Burford, on April 18. Fined £450 and told to pay £15 victims’ surcharge, £775 costs and £550 compensation. Given eight points on licence.
- Daniel Ballantyne, 31, of Andover Close, Bicester, admitted importing 750 nitrazepam tablets and 750 alprazolam tablets, both Class C drugs, in Bicester on October 30. Given 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
