OUR legislators are terrified, I assume by the possible stigma that might ensue, of creating a system which would allow mature, sane adults to choose the time of their death.

Unable to foretell when or where we are born we should expect to be granted the privilege of deciding when we depart.

I fail to see anything benign in a state which drags out pointless, painful lives in the discomfort and humiliation of old age.

The law should allow mature, sane adults to decide for themselves when enough is enough and medicine should facilitate it.
