A HEADTEACHER has been appointed to take over at Cheney School after long serving head Alan Lane retires in the new year.
Jolie Kirby, currently associate head at Deacon's School in Peterborough, will start in April.
Cheney's deputy head, Janet Minot, will be acting head from January, when Mr Lane retires after 20 years at the school, until the arrival of Mrs Kirby.
