A YOUNG mother was found hanged in her bathroom after failing to show up for work, an inquest heard yesterday.
Sarahlee Shaw, of Audley House, Buckingham Road, Bicester, was found dead at home by concerned colleague Hayley Greer on February 26.
The inquest at Oxfordshire Coroner’s Court heard that the 24-year-old, who worked as an administrator at Cooper School and had a two-year-old son, had previously tried to take her life in November last year.
In a statement read to the court, Ms Greer said she let herself into Miss Shaw’s flat, where she found Miss Shaw’s son.
She discovered Miss Shaw in the bathroom with a dressing gown cord around her neck.
A statement from consultant psychiatrist Denis O’Leary said Miss Shaw had suffered with low moods which could have been post-natal depression.
Oxfordshire Coroner Darren Salter said: “I believe the verdict is that Sarahlee took her own life.”
