FOLLOWING heavy rain last night, a flood alert has just been issued for the River Evenlode throughout its course from Moreton-in-Marsh to Cassington and for the River Glyme at Woodstock and Wootton.
The alert, the lowest level of the Environment Agency's three-stage warning system, means that flooding is possible and householders and businesses near the rivers should be prepared.
For the latest information on flooding risks, see the Environment Agency website or call the Floodline on 0845 988 1188.
