TWO organisations have joined forces to create handmade Christmas gifts to help fund its social enterprise and charitable work.

Restore, the mental health charity based in Manzil Way and Oxford Wood Recycling (OWR), which offers employment and volunteering opportunities, came together to create handcrafted gifts made of wood from OWR’s shop in Abingdon.

Money raised from the gifts, which range from toy cars and lorries to wall art, will go back into funding both Restore and OWR, a non-profit social enterprise.

Richard Snow, chief executive officer at OWR, said: “We offer employment and volunteer work opportunities to people who find it hard to get work, this includes working in partnership with other social enterprises and organisations in Oxfordshire who share these aims.”
