ASTON Rowant 2nd took over at the top of Division 1 after seeing off previous leaders Long Marston by 47 runs on another rain-affected programme.

Tom Condon, batting at No 3, top-scored with 36 as Rowant innings were dismissed for just 115 inside 34 overs.

Long Marston were quickly in deep trouble as they were reduced to 19-6 in the face of some excellent bowling from Dominic Whatman (3-24) and Lewis Quainton (3-21).

Although there was a brief rally from the home side, young Ben Knowler wrapped up the innings by taking 4-10 in 4.1 overs to send Rowant to the top as Marston were skittled out for just 68.

Elsewhere, Cumnor moved up to fourth place after a five-wicket win at Leighton Buzzard Town.

Youngster Sam Powell was the pick of the Cumnor attack as his 3-31 helped to dismiss the home side for 129 in 31.4 overs.

And in tough conditions for batting, the top order all contributed as Cumnor eased to 137-5 to wrap up victory, Harry Ackland top-scoring with 37.

Tiddington finally collected their first win of the season as they defeated hosts Dinton by 11 runs.

The visitors were restricted to 141-9 in their 25 overs in a rain-affected match in Buckinghamshire, Najam Rehman taking 4-24.

But father and son Neil (3-23) and Ben (3-24) Smith bowled well in tandem as Dinton were bowled out for 130 with eight balls remaining.

RAIN decimated Division 2, with only one match finishing.

This came at Cropredy, where the north Oxfordshire team saw off visitors Great & Little Tew 2nd by five wickets in an unsurprisingly low-scoring affair.

Jake Heath took 4-18 and Jake Walters 3-18 as Tew were shot out for 73 in 34.2 overs.

The home side certainly did not have it all their own way as Jack Belmont took 3-17 for Tew, but Cropredy reached the target in the 30th over with five wickets down.

Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts had been skittled for just 100 in their home clash with Sandford St Martin, for whom Ollie Ong claimed 4-28.

Sandford were 27-1 after seven overs when a heavy shower put paid to proceedings.

Abingdon Vale had been reduced to 15-3 in 9.1 overs by Oxford Downs when rain ended their clash.

Only two matches survived in Division 3, with Shipton-under-Wychwood holding leaders Bledlow Village to a draw and Banbury 3rd beating Didcot by 47 runs.

At Banbury, the hosts set Didcot 194-8 in 51 overs as Imran Mohammed hit 37 and Paul Hill 36.

Connor Morrison scored 36 in Didcot’s reply, but Ollie Murrey (3-13) and Michael Thomas (3-30) helped to dismiss the south Oxfordshire side for 147.

Bledlow Village were bowled out for 149 by hosts Shipton-under-Wychwood 2nd, Harry Davies taking 3-28 and Joe Cockroft 3-38.

But Shipton were left clinging on for dear life on 86-9 at the end, thanks to a stubborn 41 not out from youngster Charlie Miller, Dave Pearce claiming 4-23 for the league leaders.

Kimble drew with Dinton in the only Division 4 match to produced a result, while Chearsley ran out 83-run winners at home to Bledlow Ridge in the only Division 5 match to survive the deluges.

In Division 6, Alastair Worby returned superb figures of 6-28 to help Cropredy 2nd to a 64-run victory at Twyford 2nd.

Tristan Evans top-scored with 36 in Cropredy’s 130 all out, Sam Roberts taking 5-47 for Twyford.

But the home side had no answer to Worby’s excellent spell as they crashed to 66 all out in reply.

Mark Robey’s brilliant haul of 7-16 was all in vain for Sandford St Martin 2nd in Division 7, as the rain had the final say.

Robey’s seven wickets reduced Oxford 4th to 162 all out, while Sandford were 31-3 before the heavens opened and the match was abandoned.

In Division 8, Witney Mills 2nd enjoyed a 42-run success at Great & Little Tew 4th.

Mills were all out for 164 in the 45th and final over of their innings, Simon Rae taking 4-21 for the hosts.

Alex Wilson then claimed 5-11 for Mills as they reduced Tew to 122 all out in reply to wrap up victory.
