DRIVING demonstrations and a huge assault course for children will be in place for a bank holiday event at the end of this month – at the same time as a huge golf event.

Bridgestone tyre and rubber company is organising the free event at Heythrop Park near Chipping Norton from August 25 to 28 and is pulling out all the stops to make it one to remember both on and off the golf course.

The Challenge Tour is one step down from the full professional European Tour and gives some of the most talented amateur players a platform to progress onto the professional circuit.

Farrell Dolan of Bridgestone said: "We would love to see as many people at the Bridgestone Challenge event as possible and have pulled out all of the stops provide people of all ages with some activities to remember.

"Not only does this represent a unique platform for emerging golfers to make a big name for themselves, but it will also be a huge celebration of what we are as a business."

There will also be live music, games for children, mini cars to ride and more.

Alain de Soultrait, challenge tour director, said: "We are delighted to be able to partner with Bridgestone and are excited to be bringing the Challenge Tour back to England, aided by the support of England Golf.

"The Challenge Tour offers the best way for talented young golfers to develop their professional game and a large number of our recent success stories have been English players."
