SNOW showers look set to hit Oxfordshire at the weekend with temperatures forecast to plunge below freezing.
The Met Office has predicted light snow on Sunday afternoon with freezing temperatures from Friday onwards.
It has said temperatures could hover just above zero Celsius but will feel as cold as -5°C on Saturday and -7°C on Sunday.
Oxfordshire has experienced a tedious winter with the Beast from the East bringing the county to its knees earlier this month.
Looking ahead to the weekend, there is now high confidence it will turn colder from the east. Temperatures will struggle to get much above freezing by Sunday pic.twitter.com/pzds1Yxz8k

Later this week, a weather front from the South West moving towards the North East is set to bring heavy rain tomorrow and Thursday with strong winds, while the latter part of the week will see a return to colder temperatures.
