DISCOVERIES of gold, silver and bronze will go before Oxford Coroner's Court today to decide if the findings should be classed as treasure trove.

The potential treasure includes a complete silver strap end dating from early Medieval times found in Littleworth; a medieval gold finger ring from South Oxfordshire; and Bronze-age gold strip from Berinsfield.

If the coroner decides the finds are classed as treasure the Treasure Valuation Committee will then decide how much the treasure is worth and how much will go to anyone entitled to a share of the find.

The treasure inquests will be heard from 1pm at Oxford Coroner's Court, County Hall, New Road.
