SUPERMARKET staff have been run off their feet and for good reason ahead of their 1Million Step Challenge.
Tesco colleagues in Bicester took on the task of attempting as many steps as possible at work to help raise funds and awareness for Diabetes UK.
The team laced up their trainers over two days on June 2 and 3 and, using five pedometers, managed to clock up 112,000 steps.
Tesco community champion Bryan Taunton said: “We are thrilled to be raising awareness for Diabetes UK and the 1 Million Step Challenge. Not only is this a great way to raise money to support a fantastic cause, it also helps to keep all of us active.
“It was great to see colleagues getting behind our flagship fundraising weekend, taking part in exercise classes and making a real difference to people with diabetes.”
The fundraising event was promoting Diabetes UK’s 1million Step Challenge. taking place from July.
