TWO lanes were closed on the M40 this morning after reports of a crash involving five cars.
Drivers heading southbound were delayed after the incident near King's Sutton.
Traffic between junction 11 for Banbury and junction 10 for Cherwell Valley Services was affected.
Highways England said its crews were on the scene and were working to clear the incident 'as soon as possible'.
It warned delays of up to 25 minutes were likely.

All lanes were reopen by 9am with traffic slowly clearing.
Emergency services were still on the scene at 8.15am.
Spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service David Gallagher said: "We received an emergency 999 call at 06.49 with the caller reporting a five car collision on the M40 southbound between junctions 11 and 10.
"We have an ambulance and a paramedic team leader in a rapid response vehicle at the scene.
"Fortunately, there are just two patients with minor injuries currently being assessed and treated by our staff."
