A MAN has been given a three-year football banning order following an incident at the World Cup in Russia earlier this month.
Paul Johnson, 25, from Banbury, was handed the order at Oxford Magistrates’ Court after the incident on a train near Moscow on June 16, the National Police Chiefs Council confirmed.
The incident happened two days after the start of the World Cup, which is currently being held in Russia.
Russian police are said to have accused two fans of 'hooliganism' aboard a train to Volgograd.
Four games took place on the day of the incident, including the Argentina v Iceland game in Moscow.
The final will take place in the Russian capital on July 15.
