A 22-YEAR-old who died in the River Thames near Donnington bridge has been named as Amayad Bokhari.
The Oxford-born man, who lived in Howard Street, died on the morning of July 1, an inquest into his death heard today.
His unresponsive body was discovered by a member of the public at around 6.11am and pulled out of the river by the police.
No cause of death has been ascertained at this time but the only injury identified by pathologists was a injury to his nose.
A stretch of the river near Iffley Lock was closed for much of the morning while emergency services attended the scene.
Mr Bokhari was declared dead at the John Radcliffe Hospital and was id'd using his fingertips.
A full inquest will be held on November 6.
