OXFORD City Stars have re-signed experienced player Stewart Tait for the forthcoming English National League campaign.
Tait, 37, formed a key part of the double-winning squad last season in his first year with the Stars.
It will be his 20th season in English hockey, having started his career at the Slough Jets in 1998.
Head coach Kenny Redmond added: “Stewart is a veteran in the league and has a wealth of experience with top teams.
He reads the game well and can play defensively and offensively. He is a leader, has a calm influence in the dressing room and is a role model.”
Tait is looking forward to another season at Oxpens.
He said: “The club is continuing to move in the right direction and the recruitment is strong again on and off the ice.
“I’m excited by the prospect of the new season.
“After what we achieved last season and after speaking to Kenny and hearing his plans it would have been hard to say ‘no’ to re-signing.”
