WANTAGE residents are set to be given their first glimpse of homes on the Crab Hill development.

The 1,500 house project - which is in its first stage - has been dubbed 'one of the most significant housing projects in the South East'.

Lead developer St Modwen Homes have released images of the homes, while an on-site sales centre is due to be launched on Saturday.

Prospective buyers will be able to take a look around two new showhomes, the Garnet and the Chichester, while enjoying fizz and canapes, according to the company.

Oxford Mail:

The development, which has been years in the making and faced significant opposition, is east of Wantage, in Kingsgrove, and is set to include sport and leisure facilities and allotments, as well as a range of houses.

Catherine Jarrett, Head of Sales South for St. Modwen Homes, said: “Kingsgrove is really starting to take shape and it is exciting to be able to show people what the development will look like once complete.

“We’ve taken inspiration from the local area to ensure Kingsgrove fits well within its surroundings, with each home designed to offer enviable kerb appeal.

"The mix of homes has been selected to cater for everybody."
