POLICE are hunting a man who sexually assaulted a teenage girl in a busy town centre square.

The victim, a 16-year-old girl, was walking outside Biagio jewellers in Pioneer Square, Bicester at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, August 21 when she was inappropriately touched over her clothes by a man who approached her from behind.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to the assault.

The offender is a white man with a skinny build, aged between his late twenties and early thirties and has dark blonde hair.

He was wearing a black hooded top and long, baggy blue denim jeans.

The girl wasn’t injured during the incident.

Investigating officer, PC Katie Derrick, based at Bicester police station, said: “This was an upsetting incident for the young victim.

“The area was busy when this incident happened and we think that there could be a number of witnesses who haven’t come forward to police.

“Shortly after the incident a man in his fifties asked if the victim was alright, and we would like to speak to him as he may have vital information for the investigation.
