WANTAGE MP Ed Vaizey has been soundly beaten by Corbyn - a seven-month-old cockapoo.
Employment minister Mike Amesbury's dog won the people's vote prize in the Westminster Dog of the Year Show, beating off competition from Mr Vaizey's one-year-old cavapoo Pepper.
Mr Vaizey has pedigree in pet-related competitions, with the family’s late hamster Scamper finishing runner-up in the Parliamentary Pet of the Year competition two years ago.
But the feat could not be repeated this week, with his young pooch not even placing.
Mr Vaizey is thought to back a second vote.
The 'judges' picks' were Boomer and Corona, owned by Labour MP Alex Norris.
