RESIDENTS are being invited to a public consultation about a new Lidl supermarket.
The proposed store, in Grove, near Wantage, would be built off Grove Road.
Locals are being invited to a ‘have your say’ event in the village next Thursday, from 3pm to 7pm.
It will take place at the Old Mill Hall, on School Lane.
On a residents’ Facebook group, Sarah Kerr wrote: “So pleased we are getting another supermarket, such a shame about the location.
“They should put it as part of the new housing estate. That road is busy enough as it is.”
Grove currently has a Co-op and Tesco Express, while neighbouring Wantage has a Waitrose and Sainsbury’s.
Lidl has put more information about its proposals online.
