The windy weather warning is in place until 9am tomorrow.
The Met Office has said: "There is a slight chance of some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs or through falling trees and branches."
Adding: "There is a small chance of longer journey times or cancellations as road, rail, air and ferry services are affected. Some roads and bridges could close and there is a slight chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage."
The windy weather is expected to ease throughout Friday and Saturday, before making a return on Sunday night and in to Monday.
A strong jet stream out of Canada is responsible for the current spell of unsettled weather, which should stay with us early into next week. By Tue, however, we should see some settled weather arrive across the UK as we move onto the southern side of the jet stream #jetstream pic.twitter.com/47IvAK7bek
