A SEPTUGENARIAN arrived home to a hero’s welcome after completing a 1,000-mile journey to Scotland and back on a horse and cart.
Daisy Sadler, 73, left Banbury in April and travelled to Falkirk before returning to the Oxfordshire town on Saturday.
She has raised £20,000 - more than four times the planned amount - for the Brain Tumour Charity which will fund 80 days of research into the condition.
Ms Sadler said: “I have been over-whelmed by the support we have received, and the generosity of everyone who has donated."
