A ROAD in South Oxfordshire has reopened overnight after being closed both ways due to a 'police incident' yesterday.

Nosworthy Way near Wallingford was shut to traffic shortly before 7.30pm, causing slow traffic at either side.

The road, which is part of the A4130, connects the villages of Winterbrook and Mongewell and passes over the River Thames.

Traffic logs cited a 'police incident' but the exact nature of the closure is not yet known.

The road was shut between the A329 Reading Road to A4074 Port Way.
