A MAN was punched in the face as he walked into a popular Cowley Road cocktail bar. 

The 29-year-old was knocked to the floor from the force of the blow when he was hit by another man while making his way into the Baron. 

Thames Valley Police today released details of the incident, which took place at around 1.30am on Sunday October, 28.

The victim sustained a broken nose and a gash below his right eye that required hospital treatment but he has since been discharged.

Any witnesses are being urged to come forward. 

The offender is described as a white man, approximately 5ft 8ins tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black puffa-style jacket.

Investigating officer PC Michaela Churchill, of the Oxford Investigation Hub, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time and saw the incident.
