A LEISURE centre in Blackbird Leys was evacuated after a firework was reportedly set off inside the building.
Emergency services were called to the Leys Pool and Leisure Centre in Pegasus Road after the fire alarm was sounded just before 8pm on Friday.
It is not known if anyone was injured in the incident.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: “Thames Valley Police were called at around 7.45pm yesterday following a fire alarm activation at Leys Pool and Leisure Centre on Pegasus Road, in Blackbird Leys.
“There were reports that a firework had been set off inside the building.
“The Neighbourhood Police Team has been alerted.”
Fusion Lifestyle, which runs the leisure centre, has been contacted for a comment.
