PUBS across Oxfordshire are giving sweet-toothed drinkers the chance to claim a free gin - if they turn up with a slice of cake.
The bizarre offer is valid on Wednesday, November, 14 only and will see cakes including victoria sponges exchanged for a corresponding gin liqueur.
The offer is being run to promote the launch of a new range of drinks, inspired by home-baking and known as Mrs Cuthbert’s gin liqueur flavours.
Pubs taking part include the Bullnose Morris in Blackbird Leys and the Oak in Didcot.
To claim a drink, guests will have to visit one of the pubs listed below and show a slice of cake at the bar for a free Mrs Cuthbert’s Victoria Sponge Cake gin liqueur and tonic.
Any guests wanting to try another flavour can bring in a muffin, a crumble or a pavlova instead, in exchange for the corresponding flavoured gin and tonic.
