A SCHOOL parent-teacher association that was on the verge of collapse has been salvaged by new members.
The PTA at The Henry Box School in Witney has been saved after more parents stepped in to take key positions on the committee such as chair, secretary and treasurer.
New members held their first meeting at the end of November and, posting on Facebook, have since encouraged more parents to help volunteer at fundraiser events.
As reported in the Oxford Mail in October, the school was among several in Oxfordshire struggling for PTA members.

The PTA held an extraordinary meeting last month and, if the replacement members had not volunteered, it would have been dissolved.
Nearly all of the previous committee had stood down as some no longer had children at the school and others had already dedicated three years to the role.
